STAYING ON COURSE PT.2

ONE WOULD THINK JUMPING OUT A SIXTH FLOOR WINDOW WOULD KILL THE NORMAL PERSON. BUT THIS DUDE TRULY HAD JUMPED THROUGH DARKNESS AND SURVIVED. WHILE WORKING AT A HALFWAY HOUSE THREE YEARS LATER I RAN INTO HIM AGAIN. AS MY EYES LOOKED UPON HIM I COULD TELL SLEEPING AROUND WAS A THING OF THE PAST FOR HIM. AS I WALKED UP TO HIS WHEELCHAIR I ASKED, HOW ARE YOU FREE. HE SAID I TOLD THEM IT WASN’T ME. I LAUGHED THEN ASKED HOW YOU FEEL. HE SAID OVERSEER MAN I’M STILL IN LOVE WITH THAT DAMN GIRL. HE SAID I WISH I KNEW WHAT SCHOOL SHE WENT TO I WOULD ROLL MY CHAIR ALL THE WAY THERE. HE THEN SAID SHE CALLED HIM ONCE AND SAID SORRY DADDY BUT YOU CAN’T PUT IT DOWN LIKE YOU USE TOO SO I’M GONE. HE THEN ASKED SO OVERSEER DID I JUMP THROUGH DARKNESS. I SAID I CAN’T REALLY SAY YES BUT YOU DID CHANGE YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU JUMPED OUT THAT WINDOW SO. I THEN TOLD HIM I WAS TIRED FROM WORK AND WAS HEADED HOME TO TAKE A BATH. ….JTD

By Jumping Thru Darkness Books for Sobriety.

I am a recovering alcoholic that used my own methods to become sober. My books are stories and poems as well as spoken words that sums up my journey. Along with my own sobriety program for all. JUMPING THRU DARKNESS may and can help when nothing else seems to work.
