Let me guess you rather earn your sobriety by yourself. Don’t need anyone to tell you anything. Sounds like the ways of an addict to me. Oh and I know with my one drink one man world type of mind. But it’s kind of like religion we all have sat around and got into great debates about what the bible says. Only thing is most of the people in that debate never really read the bible cover to cover. Most learned what they know from what they heard someone else say. Do you want your sobriety to be that way? How much time and effort would you give for your sobriety. Jump Thru Darkness and make a list. A list of how much money you would spend. A list of how much time you would give. Then make a list of all the things you did to get what you wanted in your addictions. Now look at both lists and ask yourself this question. Are you giving yourself your best effort……..JTD

At 13 years old it felt cool to drink wine coolers. Just a puddle to real alcoholics. At 14 that first quart of beer had us feeling like Christmas was near even if it was march. Still a puddle but its getting wide. At 16 and 17 you were teaching others in the school bathroom what to drink to be cool. Funny that puddle looks way to full. After 18 you made your first child but was to drunk to remember how. Then you notice that puddle isn’t a puddle anymore. Nowadays you drink so much that your puddle is a pond. No matter what your addictions maybe you fighting the same fight. When I am Jumping Thru Darkness and I’m talking to someone. I often never see color or race. I often never see criminal or ex-con. I often never see educated vs uneducated. What I often see is a man or woman in the fight standing beside me. You are not in the fight against addictions alone. No matter how many times addictions knock us down. We some how will always find a way to get off the ground. Our fight against addiction sometimes seem merciless but we Jump Thru Darkness nevertheless. So don’t keep negative things in your eyes. Because nothing not even color or race, education, or crimes makes you immune to addictions might. So as you work your sobriety remember we all are fighting the same fight….JTD

From the moment a bird is born it wants to fly. When it finally is ready it takes to the sky. The bird spends its whole life testing the winds of might. Reaching with wings to every part of why. Until one day the wind doesn’t blew and the bird falls from the sky. As the bird falls it has no regrets it simply whispers to the sky and says bye. What do you turn to when you have nothing to eat. What do you turn to when you barely have shoes on your feet. They tell you to go to church but its only open once a week. What happens the other six days when you have nowhere to sleep. Yeah I wanna know who helps you so they can help me too. Oh you have some liquor and weed you would like to share with me. But I was really trying to Jump Thru Darkness and find out what I should do. So while you keep getting drunk and high, I’m be trying to win my sobriety and fight for my life. If I only knew what or who to turn too. Maybe I’ll get high and have a drink with you. Then maybe just maybe I’ll figure out what I should do. He started drinking in college. A southern boy trying to stay warm. She had self esteem issues so she would drink to feel sociable. They meet at a freshman dance instead of dancing they left and ending up drunk in his dorm room. They depended on each other all the way to graduation day. They enjoyed the day with smoke and drinks. That’s when she told him they had a baby on the way. But even the baby didn’t stop her from having her drink. He had a drink before work. He had a drink during lunch break at work. He had plenty of drinks after work. He was passed out drunk in the car at the hospital when his child was born. They both got drunk when they got the new born home. They both were drunk when the house caught on fire. So drunk they didn’t hear the baby crying. When they were found both had bottles of burned up liquor in their hands. With all things Jump Thru Darkness and watch some habits of daily life. Cause those daily habits could one day end your life………JTD

Remember sitting and eating pickles with a soda. Remember pickle eggs and now and later candy. Remember how having a crush on someone felt. Remember smiling if that person said yeah. It didn’t even matter what they was saying yeah to as long as the yeah was to you. Remember before your addiction when you enjoyed seeing the sun rise. Remember smiling before bedtime saying goodnight before you close your eyes. You covered in addictions now but you want a way out. Jump Thru Darkness stop the role of an addict. If it helps say it was just a part you was playing. Then pick a new role for yourself. Don’t rush into any new role. Let your hope for sobriety put you far upon a new road. Stay on that road and when you feel you have been on that new road with your new role for a mile. Stop and notice you no longer will have to remember happiness of a child because you’ll have a brand new sobriety smile….JTD

So do you need that talk to better yourself. Or do you just feel like you need that talk cause your lover left. You say you need that talk because you relapsed when you went for a walk. You say you knew you needed that talk that day you went robing and got caught. At least that’s what you said when you recorded your message on that collect call. You even said you was doing better because of stolen drawls. Now you drunk and high ready to change your life and you’ll have that talk as soon as you finish that last drink and smoke. You asked what time the Jumping Thru Darkness movie will start. So drunk and high if it was a movie it would start with you needing that talk………….Jtd

Follow these words closely. You walking down the street of life. To your left is all the things you got right. You move your head slowly to the other side and we all know why. Never mind all the things you did wrong cause we all know life goes on. As you move forward you notice an addict who is down on their luck. Your heart Jumps Thru Darkness and says help them up. You walk closer and kneel down to help the addict. The addict says , who are you and what do you want. You say , I am here to help you up. The addict then says help me for what, I am just fine right here with my weed and wine. Do you give up or do you give it everything you have to get them up. If you was sober and clean you would notice those are the words you are saying to yourself as you sit there. Well I told you to follow these words closely. Cause you could, can , and might be that addict in need…..JTD

Most people look and smell anything and everything before they put it in their mouths. We look at meat in stores like we picking a lover. It has to look right, be smelling the package to make sure it smell right. Eyeing the price to make sure it’s worth all that, just like dating. But when it comes to our addictions do we really know what’s good. If you had a bad batch of beer or liquor how would you know? I bet you never ever checked the expiration date on a beer can or liquor bottle. You put it in your mouth and don’t even know where it came from or what it’s made of, true talk. Never truly knowing what you are putting in your mouth. So Jump Thru Darkness and stop putting yourself down for those over the top actions of a drunk. You and no one else can explain the ways of an alcoholic. Cause no one can truly explain the drinks of an alcoholic. Yeah I’m sober now but I still won’t pick up a drink to read the label. I’m not that strong to be saying I can just hold one Can in my hand. If I asked myself would I drink it. I would have to say I probably would. Know how far you can go and think about the unknown that you put in your mouth. Cause it’s the same unknown for the rich up on the hill and the corners down in the hood. But for what it’s worth Jumping Thru Darkness for Sobriety is Knowing What’s Good…….JTD

Well I would ask if you ever been drunk or high. But you should never have to ask a chicken does it know how to lay an egg. Just one thing, have you noticed that most hangovers appear when we are alone. Is it trying to tell us that we have no one to blame but ourselves as we look around our empty room. Even if someone is there we really don’t want to talk or look at them. Secretly feeling like if they loved us they would have stopped us before we had one too many. Who are we kidding we liked that painful, aching, ailment, affliction, vomiting, gagging, nausea, indisposition, leaning on the bed feeling. But why are we often left alone to deal with all that. Let’s Jump Thru Darkness and think about that. Is it showing us a lonely future if we carry on. Or is it saying in the end even the empty bottle finds a garbage can so it can roll on. Maybe it’s saying after the party all that’s left is pain for the dumb. Because in our era being less than one hundred percent will lead you to a bottomless pit of addictions. So if you won anything in life remember to win your sobriety as well. Cause if you don’t the next lonely hangover you wake up with can be in jail or hell…….JTD

If you get the urge to order out make sure its comes with some fresh sobriety. If you from the hood or ghetto you probably got drunk and high so you didn’t have to think about how many people be smiling in your face as friends. All while hoping a bullet or a cop brings your story to an unhappy end. If you a business owner, doctor, or lawyer and all others that worked hard to play hard. You probably feel you don’t have an addiction because of your job. Well thinking like that is something but can we really call thinking like that smart. No matter if you running from the law. At least you can try to better yourself from within even if you dirty eternally. Do that by ordering your sobriety. So you not a criminal and in the best seats a person can have as a job. Just stand up and depends on how tall you are just notice when it comes to addictions the fall isn’t that far from where you standing for you to hit the ground. From having your first drink from a beer you stole out the refrigerator at 13 years old. To running a fortune 500 company and drinking DIVA VODKA that costs 1 Million Dollars a bottle to help you enjoy life. What is truly the happiness of it all. I mean is your happiness making yourself feel intoxicated and doing things you wouldn’t normally do. Your happiness is saying things you would never say sober. I mean maybe your happiness involves a two day hangover that’s so bad it makes you hate water. Jump Thru Darkness and understand that all that alcoholic happiness is you acting and feelings like someone else and not yourself. So if you act different and talk different is that happiness real? Maybe that’s what a hangover is about all that fake alcoholic happiness leaving your body. Leaving you with your own feelings of pain and sickness. Try to laugh and dance Sober. Try a date with your lover Sober. When you feel you have earned a reward let your reward be a clean and sober day. No more living a fake happiness that often leaves your life in a mess. You say you have a hangover. You say you have a stomach ache. You say you have a toothache. You say it’s hard to see and think straight. But you sober and clean so when you mix all that up tell me the name of that cake. Seems that’s a dizzy cake with an after buzz flavor. It hits many days after becoming sober and others months and years before they notice; The after effect of the addictions on their mind, body and soul. The dizziness can be short or it can be long but for most things seem clear no headaches at all. But you can’t stop your hand from shaking. It’s even hard to remember Monday on Thursday because you get dizzy on Wednesdays. You follow all the rules of sobriety but still can’t understand the mental mess of dizziness that makes you feel a little off in life. You use to get everything right now dizziness seems to be the lead in your newly found sober ride. Jump Thru Darkness and hold your ground. Stay in place and stick it out for your sobriety, so one day when the dizziness stops your feet will be standing in the right spot…..JTD

I HAD JUST GOTTEN ENGAGED AND WENT OUT WITH THE BOYS TO PARTY. I STARTED DRINKING AT ONE IN THE AFTERNOON. BY EIGHT THE FELLOWS CALLED AND SAID MEET THEM AT THE CLUB. ALL I KNOW IS I ARRIVED AT A CLUB AT 12 THAT NIGHT THREE CITIES OVER. SEE I HAD TO CATCH THE BUS TO THE CLUB AND MY DRUNK MIND SAID GREYHOUND WAS FASTER. I CAN REMEMBER THIS CHICK WALKING UP AND HANDING ME A DRINK. SHE GAVE ME AS MANY DRINKS AS I COULD HOLD AND TOOK ME HOME. THE NEXT DAY SHE PUT IT ON ME AGAIN AND I DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE. SO SHE GOT ME A JOB WORKING WITH HER. I FELT I WAS JUMPING THRU DARKNESS AND STARTING OVER. YEAH I FELT THAT WAY UNTIL ONE DAY I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND MY FIANCEE WAS STANDING IN THE FRONT YARD. I WALKED OUT AND SHE SAID EXPLAIN YOURSELF. ALL I COULD SAY IS BABY I HAD ONE TWO MANY……JTD

They say there are programs for kids to get off drugs and go back to school. They say there are programs that help babies with babies learn new moves. If stopping the youth and saving their life is the plan, why kick them out of school in the first place my friends. Most low income kids only think of the one thing they can do without a job or being educated. That’s having a boyfriend or getting a girl pregnant. A bit of what most adults have to make those youth feel they have purpose in these empty lands. To be nothing on educated paper or on a job site but to be called fathers or mothers makes their lives feel right. Disappointment is beaten down by blunts and cheaply made but expensive drinks. Then if you ask them who they are they will never say addict cause that’s not how they think. Lets Jump Thru Darkness and understand everyone plays apart in the world of addicts. Open your eyes and see that choice for some is the only choice they have to feel they have purpose. The world doesn’t train the youth for the future anymore because most of the trainers themselves are waiting on the big score. So for them all drunks, addicts,etc..forget about programs and opening old sores. Lets Jump Thru Darkness and create new doors…..JTD

TO AN ALCOHOLIC MEDICATION CAN JUST BE ANOTHER FORM OF ALCOHOL THAT ENTERS YOUR SYSTEM. THE MEDICATION OF ANY KIND IS A DRUG. IF YOU ARE A ADDICT IT DOESN’T HELP YOU STAY CLEAN. YOU MIGHT HAVE TO WATCH WHAT YOU TAKE WHEN IT COMES TO MEDICATION. ALSO TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOU ARE WORKING YOUR SOBRIETY PROGRAM(JTD). SO THEY CAN GIVE YOU MEDICATION THAT KEEPS YOUR BODY FREE FROM DRUGS. OFTEN TIMES PEOPLE REPLACE ALCOHOL WITH MEDICATION GETTING THEM HOOKED ON PILLS. SO FIND NATURAL WAYS TO EASE PAIN IF YOU CAN. IF YOU GET A COLD GET YOU SOME APPLE CIDER VINEGER AND SOME LEMON JUICE WITH A LITTLE HONEY MIX IT UP AND DRINK IT FOR COLD MEDICATION. IF YOU MIX IT RIGHT IT SHOULD TASTE LIKE THERAFLU. LETS FACE IT MEDICATION ISN’T CHEAP SO THIS WAY YOU CAN EVEN GET ALL THESE THINGS WITH FOOD STAMPS AND STAY HEALTHY. I USE THIS MYSELF AND IT WORKS. ALSO START TAKING FISH OIL OR FLAX SEED OIL IN THE FALL IT HELPS TO FIGHT AGAINST THE FLU AND INFLAMMATION DOING THE WINTER MONTHS. YOU MAY FEEL HOPELESS BECAUSE OF YOUR CRIMINAL RECORD. IT MAKES YOU FEEL YOU HAVE NO CHANCE IN LIFE BUT THE WAYS OF THE STREETS. EVEN IF YOU SMART AND EDUCATED YOU KNOW ONE ARREST AND YOU FLIPPING PENNIES IN THE WISHING WELL LIKE ALL THE OTHERS. IF YOU WAS A TEACHER YOU CAN’T TEACH ANYMORE. IF YOU WAS A BOSS YOU KNOW YOUR DAYS OF HOLDING THE COMPANY DOWN ARE GONE. YOU LOOK AT YOUR KIDS AND HATE THAT ONE DAY YOU WILL LEAVE EARTH. YOU LOVE BEING THEIR PROTECTOR NOW BUT ONE DAY YOU WILL BE GONE. THE HEARTS OF THE UNJUST WISH TO LIVE FOREVER. RATHER ITS FOR THE LOVE OF THEIR CHILDREN OR THE PAIN OF LEAVING FOREVER. WHEN YOU SEE PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD PROBLEMS REMEMBER NO ONE OR NOTHING IS REALLY BETTER. DIRT MADE YOUR HOMES. DIRT MADE THE WALLS. DIRT BUILT MOUNTAINS AND EVEN THE ROADS. IF EVERYTHING WE USE IN LIFE HAS SOME DIRT IN IT. WHY ARE WE SO QUICK TO CONDEMN PEOPLE WHO ARE WEAK IN IT. LETS JUMP THRU DARKNESS AND GIVE MORE SUPPORT TO THOSE WHOM MAY NEED OR WANT TO RECOVER FROM THEIR ADDICTIONS. JUST LIKE WE STRENGTHEN DIRT TO MAKE A HOME. Dear buddy you were the best bud a drunk could find. You were always there when it was hard times. Like most friends you didn’t abandon me when I was broke. In the middle of the night you was still with me no matter where I wanted to go. When I had to vomit from drinking to much, You was right there with some more. When I did change clothes, well you all know a drunk keeps drinks not a wardrobe. But you had a variety like a rich person’s closet inside a home. When my ex put me out the house. Like a superhero you flew through the window and knocked her new lover out. You even gave me the last swallow before you dashed into the window. But now to get sober and clean means I must Jump Thru Darkness and walk alone further. I truly enjoyed being your friend and hope one day all friends with bottles become sober…..JTD
